New to fish and this forum

Alright, when I was young my dad kept a fish tank thanks to my mom we had a couple goldfish....one became the boss and ate the others....ouch.
Other than that I have had no experience keeping fish...I didn't even really keep those as the child my dad cared for the tank.
In the meantime I have had dogs, hamsters, a savannah monitor and a cat.
Currently I have a sav monitor, cat and 1 hamster.
I decided to look into fish keeping because my bedroom is slightly lonely, it's very quiet at night and I have plenty of room in it because I don't like lots of cluttery furniture...just whats needed. But I thought a fish tank would be something not only nice and relaxing to look at but be great bg noise as well.
I have been reading a lot about it and plan on making another thread asking a few questions.
Oh I'm currently in CT but I'm really from FL.....I guess that's really all....

Welcome aboard.

Make sure to read up on "cycling" your tank.
The most important step in starting a new tank.
