New to the fish tank world

Hi there, haven't been very successful in managing my tank so far. I had quite a few die on me, just 2 male platy, 1 male guppy, and two guppy fry in my tank at the moment. My female guppy died recently due to birthing complications, I was shocked to find she had died. I've been afraid to buy anymore fish, but I've managed to keep these few living happy and healthy for the past while, I'm thinking to go buy a few females for the males, and a birthing tank too.
