Hi feelow fish lovers. I am wanting to start a saltwater aquarium. At the moment i have a 90ltr tropical tank and its great fun. However im getting itchy feet and want something bigger. I am thinking of getting a big tank possibly 5ft or 6ft. Is that to big for a begineer. Cheers jamie

I think bigger the better for saltwater. So not too big for a beginner. I'm not a saltwater expert just yet althought i work at the London Aquarium. But i am also interested in moving on to saltwater marine fish. Love the Hovercraft Box fish.

Welcome to AA!! :D

The bigger the easier with any aquarium, more volume makes the tank parameters much more stable. Only downsides to bigger tanks are it costs more money, and water changes take longer. Find a decent size that works with your budget and go with that. Go with the 6ft if you can swing it, you won't be sad you did:)
