New to this want better advice than petco

I took care of a oscar tank at work and was given a 250 gallon tank and equipment 2emporer 400 magnum 350 and uv filter. Have decided to make a community tank and I love the fish I have. I want to get better advice so I can make my tank awesome and make my fish happy

Lucky you, why do people only give me small tanks? Buy a book on cichlids, buy a water test kit, post a pic! That is a monster tank!

Not doing cichlids, I have oscars at work. I have glo danios balas mollies and a redtail. Going to get an angel or 2 and make a fun community tank
