hello I have a 5 gallon aquarium with two platys and a cory cat...two live plants and a U2 fluval filter

Hi and welcome to AA! I hope you enjoy it here! FYI though a 5 gal is a bit on the small side for those fish, particularly the cory which are active fish and prefer a group of it's own kind.

Ammonia levels

Ammonia levels are about .25 ppm 0 nitrites and .25 nitrates I know I didn't make the best chose in fish..but I can't figure out why I have ammonia after it cycled and there was none for about a month
