Newbie from TX

Hello, I'm new here and to the fish world. I have always had a love for fish tanks and their beauty. I can stay captivated for hours.

I'm looking at purchasing a tank for my home, but may require some advice/tips from some veterans.

Hey I found your thread: http://www.aquariumadvice.com/forums...et-164616.html

If you're here for aquariums, then this is the place to be! Plus anyone from Texas is welcomed. I sure do miss living in Texas, but I wouldn't go back to face the heat lol

Yes, the heat here in TX is MISERABLE! I think everyone is looking forward to winter this year.

I am looking into getting a 36 gallon freshwater tank. What does everyone think on the acrylic tanks? I have a 6 month old who will be walking soon and do not want something that could possibly break (like glass)

We live about an hour out of Dallas.

Thanks for the warm welcome. It's nice to know you can ask questions here and not be treated as an idiot. I'm sure I'll have lots more ?s to come.
