Newbie on board

Hello everyone my name is Stephanie and hope all is well in the fish world) I have been trying my hand at keeping fish for about a year on and off now and I think I finally got the cycle right but I am having a PH issue I think. I really want to get this straightened out because I don't want anymore dead fishies in my tank(

I have a Fluval Spec V 16 gallon tank but I really want a 30 long because the water parameters are more stable in a larger aquarium. Maybe next year.....

I live in Michigan in between Detroit and Ann Arbor.
