Well, like everybody else who starts a post in this forum, I'm new here! Right now, I just have a little 1 gallon tank on my desk at work with a lovely VT male betta.
For years and years I had larger tanks running. I always had at least one tank running from about 1993 until 2002. But then life got a little crazy, and in one move I just didn't bother to set my tanks back up. Gave the fish away, was done with it. I also worked at an awesome LFS when I was in college, and I learned TONS from the people who ran the store.
Anyway, I'm up in Alaska now, and one of my coworkers just gave me an unwanted 10 gallon tank with some equipment. I am thinking of getting that going.
I love cichlids, bettas, danios, tiger barbs, and plants! *laughs* Obviously not all in the same tank. And I am fascinated by water quality and chemistry. So I am big into the 'science' of keeping fish, as well as the enjoyment.
