No Marine Biologist

Hi Aquarium Advice,
So this isn't my hobby, but Astronomy is!
I'm a member of several astronomy websites where we buy and sell equipment with each other and I figured there must be aquarium hobbyist who do the same.

The house I purchased in 2018 came with a large aquarium mounted to a built-in cabinet. Based on my measurements, I get something like 110 gallon tank. Being stuck inside all week, I finally uninstalled it from the wall, but now I don't know what to do with it and it sits in my garage in Georgia. I've attached some pics.

Any ideas?

Being an aquarist I would recommend you set it up and get another hobby during quarantine, but that sounds like it isn't in the cards! Realistically I would list it on craigslist as that is where most used aquariums are bought and sold. To see what price you should list it at, check some listings in your local area to get a feel for what the prices are like in your area that people ask for. I will say if you just want it out of your garage as quickly as possible, if you list it for free and leave it on the curb, I almost guarantee someone would pick it up within a day or two. You could also check if there is a local aquarium society in your area because they will most likely also have a Facebook page where they buy, sell, and trade equipment/livestock. I did a quick search and if you're in the Atlanta area here are some clubs in your area to check with:

Hope this helps!

Hello, and welcome.

Most people here aren't marine biologists either - and have more than one hobby

There are really amazing tanks you could set up with that. With fish, or how about a terrarium or vivarium, or paludarium. You like plants?

Truly someone would love to have it and putting up an add on a local FB forum or for a reasonable price. to low cost. An aquarium club member nearby.
