Hi

I'm a noob to this forum and to keeping an aquarium as well.

I've just bought a Fluval Edge 23L (I know, v small for a beginner, but it is all the space i can have right now). I have just completed the first week of a fishless cycle and am going to get the water tested at my local shop this week. Planning on keeping a few Neon Tetras, a couple of Clown Loach and a few shrimp.

Love the fluval Vs! But unfortunately your stocking ideas will not fit in a mere 5g. Clown loaches need a 75g tank minimum because they grown about a foot, neons need a 20g to have enought swimming room, but shrimp is a good idea in a nano! You could get some small fish like a couple white clouds, some red cherry shrimp, and maybe a badis badis? Hope you learn alot from this forum as i did! Great to have you here!

Thanks for the advice.

Any thoughts on the cycling. I know a week is short for a fishless. I have been adding bacteria solution and thinking of a slow fish cycle to compliment.

Yes that will work! Shrimp can be very delicate.
