Yesterday I shattered the side glass to my 55g tank went to Loews an purchased some acrylic to try and fix it. Has this happened to anyone and did you try what I am. Did it work? Ill be finding out in a few days. Needles to say it will be tested outside for a few days before I bring it back in the house.

Tank was a no go I rushed it I gave it about a two days drying with the silicone filled halfway outside let it sit for an hr or so no leaks I though it was fine brought it in filled it all the way up me not thinking i got warm tap water so I wouldn't have to wait for the water to warm by itself and needles to say.........psssssshhhhhhhhh water everywhere lmao big mistake the water I had put in outside was cold so I'm guessing the warm water softened the silicone that wasn't completely dry and expanded it. I will try again eventually and take my time this time no rush
