who's in my tank

I knew NOTHING about goldfish when I bought this fish at a pet store about 6 months ago. Just wanted a pretty little fish in a bowl on my desk. He's pretty, all right...and growing like a weed. The bowl has been replaced by a 25 gal tank. Can anyone tell me what kind of goldfish he is and how big he's likely to get? Without including the fins, he's about 4 inches now.

He should max out at 4-8" or so. As a single fish, he'll be ok in the 25 for life. I forget the "type" he is. Looks too squat to be a shubunkin to me, but I could be wrong. Hopefully one of the goldfish people (they all have bulbous eyes) will see this soon and have better details.

If you were to change tanks you may want to change it and go for a longer and not such a high tank. 30gallon long would be perfect.
