Hey guys! I found a 240 gallon aquarium that looks like it was drilled to be a saltwater tank from the bottom of it. I can pick it up for $500 with the stand.

If i pick it up it will be my project for the summer to clean it up, take the rock decal off the back, do all the plumbing and set everything up.
The seller filled it with water and it was perfectly fine, no scratches, leaks, compromises to the tank etc.
It was used for a bearded dragon, i guess they don't know what they have and what it tis worth.

WHAT DO YOU THINK?? SHOULD I BUY IT AND FIX IT UP? $500 is a sweet deal.

I currently have a 120 gallon reef (60x18x24)
This is a 240 gallon tank (72x24x32)

I don't mind the height of the tank. I can invest in the wet pits and extra lighting/flow.:ROFLMAO:

Here are some pics

Here are some pics that he has uploaded. I can't wait to hear everyones input on this!! Thanks!!:flowers:

Almost forgot!

Here is the bottom!! Can anyone tell me if this is the proper drilling or whatever? I have never had a sump but I'm wanting to learn!

looks like an old marineland lobster tank?
The placement of the holes is NOT what one would want for a reef or sump IMO.
It is drilled to have a sealed system like canisters or such.
If you are handy the price is great, but if not???

Is there a way to not use the plumbing on the bottom? or would the water leak through the pipes on the bottom?
