Currently I have a 36 gallon bow front FOWLR that I would like to convert to a reef tank. I would greatly appreciate advice on what light I should use. I want to go with an LED fixture and I plan on keeping mushrooms, zoanthids, and monaporas (is that how you spell it?) thanks!

Thanks, but I was wanting not to hang anything from the ceiling. Do you have any other recommendations.

The panel Sniperhank linked to is your best bet for cost and size on this tank, and the most efficient. You don't have to hang it from the ceiling, you could make a mount for it out of metal conduit, or just make some braces to hold it up over the tank.

The only other LED lights I can think of that don't usually hang from the ceiling are marineland "reef capable" led fixtures, and those aren't that powerful.

You could also just diy an led fixture and make a tank mount for it.
