55gal tank equipment setup HELP

Got a used 55 gal tank. Need everything for it. What to get on a budget? More or less completely new to the hobby. Any help is appreciated.

Freshwater. Really want to have live plants too. Don't know what is involved with it though

I just set up a 56 gallo n planted tank over the last 6 weeks. I got a canister filter which is really the way to go on a larger tank. You'll also need a full spectrum light for the plants.
