Adjusting the flow of Mag-7?

Hey all,
I've got the opportunity to get a mag 7 pump. I thought it would be a good idea to use it to pump the mixed SW from the trash can it's been mixed in to the tank during WC's. With the 700 gph I'm worried it might be too powerful to pump straight into the tank. Does anyone have experience with these pumps? Is there a way to control or limit the flow? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

I don't think it would be too powerfull, but the mag pumps have a threaded outlet, it would be fairly easy to put a ball valve on it and add a hose nipple to the other end of the ball valve.

If you do deside to restrict the flow use the valve on the output.
