Hello everyone- most likely Colin_T,

When you have sand in your aquarium, where do you place your aerator? I would assume that you should not put it under the sand for obvious reasons. I have always put my aerators in the substrate in the past, but not sure what to do with it when sand is involved. I do like the looks of the bubbles, so I would like to keep it.

Thanks in advance!

LOL, I'm here, I'm there, I'm everywhere :)

Just rest it on the surface of the substrate. If it blows sand into the water column, then put some rocks under each end so the airstone sits above the sand a bit. You can use suction cups to stick it to the glass as well but they usually come off after a few months unless they are really good quality.
