Just got this email from Hanna Instruments
The HI 755 Alkalinity Checker HC features an accuracy of ±5% of reading ±5 ppm and uses the colorimetric method and only sells for $49.50. Visit www.hannachecker.com to get yours today!
It reads in ppm so divided by 50 (or multiply by .02) for meq/L or multiply the meq/L rading by 2.8 for dKH
e.g the video shows a reading of 170 (ppm)
170 ppm / 50 = 3.4 meq/L * 2.8 = 9.52 dKH
They changed the auto time off from 2 minutes to 10 minutes.
SPECIFICATIONS HI 755 (Alkalinity)
Method Colorimetric method
I love the phosphate checker (though I wish it had the 10 minute time out), but not sure how I feel about this over a Salifert kit.
If I buy one, I'll post a review.
