Aquaclear 110 BioMax smaller than included BioMax???

I bought some Aquaclear Biomax for the 110 filter. It came in two small bags and each take up half of the tray length. I noticed that the media is much smaller than the included media for the 110. They both say BioMax as well.

Anyone know what is up with the size difference?

Maybe for different size filters?

Yes, biomax comes in different sizes. The small solid ones are for the smaller filters and the big rings are for the larger filters. They all work the same though.

I bought the one that was for the 110 filter. It came with two bags of the smaller Biomax.

They are quite small compared to what I got with the filter.
