Aquaclear Filter Mod Questions

Hm... my Eheim Canister filter broke today and I changed it with Aquaclear 50, I know it's using Bioballs and the Carbon Bag. I want to modify it to be used for Saltwater Tank, but I dunno how. Can anyone help me? I was gonna change my Eheim with LR Rubble when it broke down on me, so can I do the same thing with Aquaclear, if so, how?

I have a aq30 but all i did was remove the media and foam and filled the basket with base rock. I wanted to make a aq110 fuge but its too big for my tank.
