aquaclear filter question

The ceramic rings in my aquaclear filter float up to the top - is that normal? If not, will that be a problem? Should I weigh the packet down or something?

Yeah, it's in the bag - the whole thing floats up. I think I made it too small or something. It stays in the filter, it just floats up to the top of the basket.

You might wanna spread them out in the bag a bit, you will also get more contact with more media that way and have more bacteria.

Are they actually floating or are they being pushed up by the sponge underneath it? If the sponge gets clogged with debris the water sometimes can push up the sponge, which in turn pushes up everything above it (in this case your ceramic rings).
