Aqueon Glass Canopy Hood- Hinge Removal

Is it possible to remove the thick white sticker and handle from the glass without potentially shattering the glass? I am very irritated that the handle is poorly placed and wish it could just be removed...

Hinge or handle? I've heard that perfecto has replacement hinges. Use a razor blade and lots of patience to slowly slice the the foam tape to remover the handle, then continue with the blade to remove the remaining tape. I'd suggest a helping hand and stand the glass on end (on a towel or carpet for cushion), if you lay it flat you'll be tempted to press down and the glass will crack.

Oops why did I say hinge.. I meant just the handle with the sticker between it and the glass. Ok, I'll try to remove it with a razor blade.

No worries, I forgot to say sharp, as in a really sharp razor blade. Oh, and patience.
