Aqueon heater "pops"

Is it ok for a aqueon heater to pop or should I return it? It sounds like a pistol shrimp in my betta aquarium

Return it. That is not normal lol

Ok ill run it back to petco. I think it's a short or something in the wiring

Ive read many reveiws (bout 100) and they all have all aqueon heaters and they all POP like that. It pops to tell you that its on and working.

Where are the suction cups clipped onto the heater? If they are near the element then that sometimes causes it. At least that's what caused mine to pop anyway. I simply moved them closer to the top and have not heard any pops since.
