balck blasting grit , coal slag?

I just set up my tank aga8n and my shrimp never survive is this substrate in using causing this issue?

It is possible. Black blasting sand is slag but it can be any of a variety of different types, including coal, but not limited to it. The one I use is nickel slag and it seems to kill snails. Over time any leachate will lower or even stop, but it may take a couple of years of water changes.

Can you recomend a good cheap substrate for planted aquarium I dont mind spend8n cash bit its a 75 gal so its gunna take a lot
