whats the valve that i could put on my return line from my sump that would restrict waterflow back into the sump? i think its called a ball valve right? thanks

I'm guessing you mean between the sump and the main tank? You don't want to resrict water flow from the tank to the sump. Anyway, you can use a ball valve. If you can get a globe valve, that would be better. Be sure to put it on the pressure side of the pump and not the inlet side. It'll cause bubbles like crazy on the inlet side due to cavitation.

oh sorry, i guess that was a pretty vague description. yes i meant on the return line from my sump to my main tank. thanks for the help.
