Best Protein Skimmer for 150?

Having a system built for a new home - the guy is quoting me a "no-name" skimmer for just under $500.

I can get an AquaC EV-180 with Mag 7 for about $380.

Are there any other good (cheaper) alternatives? But good ones?

How does that compare to the AquaC 180 or the EuroReef 180? I'm looking at both of these coming in around $400 - twice the price of the XL Red Sea skimmer.

Anyone have feedback on that one?

I would chose an ASM, Euro-Reef, or Aqua-C skimmer.

I agree with Aqua-C. This thing is amazing on my tank, very productive, and not that expensive in the scheme of things.

I'm down to the Aqua C 180 and the EuroReef 180. Both are coming in around $400 with pump. I'm sure either would be a HUUUUGE step up from my CSS 125
