Chiller question

This might seem like a silly question but I can't find the answer anywhere. I just bought a chiller and I'm not sure where to plug it in because I have an apex controller and I could plug it in there but is it bad for the chiller to be getting shut off and on every so often?... The chiller has a temp set on it but it's not the same temp as what my apex shows. Should I just plug it into the wall and have it turn on and off on its own and try to find the matching temp between the two?

God I don't even know if that's understandable lol. let me know if you don't get what I'm saying and ill try to explain better.

IMO set the chiller lower than your controller and let your controller manage the temperature. I would verify the tank temp with another thermometer away from the controller's sensor. Your controller should have a setting to keep it from cycling the chiller off and on too fast.

I hope this makes sense to you.
