for only 200 dollars you can give yourself 400watts of sodium vapor lamp and 400 watts of metal halide goodness. Who dares to bring the sun into the fish room!

I just thought this was neat and may consider it in my next project lol.

This 400watt isn't sodium compatible and at only 160 dollars I think I might get it when I start my reef.

400 watts, in one bulb with no fans and exposed reflector. Make sure not to touch it. That thing is going to get hella hot.

I would imagine so. I think some 120mm fans running off an old PSU can handle it though.

400w bulbs are pretty common over larger reef tanks

I'm pretty sure sodium vapor lamps will throw an awful yellow light on the tank.
