Drain hose instead of PVC?

Anyone ever use this stuff? It's thin black plastic flexible tubing. I'm thinking of using it on my overflow to drain into my new sump.

Any reason why I shouldn't be using this?

wonder what it's made of? typically we need "food grade" stuff.. and then there's the question of whether prolonged exposure to salt will damage it.

mostly I'm just here to tag along, because that looks like EXACTLY what I need too

That looks exactly like the tubing that came with the Fluvals I use on my FW tanks.

It feels very thin. I'd hate to take the chance just to save like $10. I might return it and grab some flex pvc instead - just to play it safe.
