Eheim filter

I am looking at the 2217 Eheim classic filter here in Japan. the filter is rated at 100v 50 to 60 hertz. will the filter burn out when i go back to the states and the power there is 110v 60hertz? Some people say no because of the hertz other say yes...So I am not sure who to believe ant help will be greatly appreciated
