Equipment Upgrade

Guys I just got a great deal on a 250G tank that I have setup and its cycling at the moment. It came with all the equipment needed to run it. What I would like to do is upgrade to a better skimmer, and better pumps for water movement. The skimmer and pump now are unknown brands and look like problems waiting to happen. What do you guys recommend for a 250G tank? Also are there any gadgets out there that measure and check all water parameters without doing it manually? Measuring, nitrates, salinaty, temp, and showing all the parameters on a screen. Thanks

Did it come with a sump or are you planing to have a sump?

It did come with a 75 gallon sump under the tank. Has a in sump skimmer, uv sterilizer and return pump. I'll try and upload some pics.
