They are all in pretty much the same price range, I'd look on craigslist and eBay for a Rena XP3 or XP4 and Fluval 405-6.

The rena xp3 is a great filter for the money, also the cascade 1000 has worked great for me but has mixed reviews on amazon and places like that.
