I was thinking of getting a new filter for my Rekord 96. The problem is that when I researched what I wanted the reviews always put me off. This leaks, that one clogs up and that one has a sticky impeller and so on. Was looking at an external but upon realising 96ltrs could end up on the carpet the wife has halted that one. After all this I have decided to stick with the juwel filter but the question is if I change the pump from a 400 to a 600 for more flow, would this make the filter better, worse no difference?
The set up is:-
Sand substrate with bogwood. plants are going in there. filter has fully cycled and ammonia and nitrites back to a steady 0. As of yet there are only 3 black neons and 2 neons in there. I plan to put another 5 neons, a pair of dwarf gouramis, 5 pepper corys and a pair of rainbow fish..
