Filter questions

So as the story goes, I just bought a 55g aquarium with lids, a strip light, gravel, rocks, and a box of random things for a killer deal. Most of the stuff is older so I don't know much about it.

So first, can anyone tell me anything about the canister filter? What size thank it's rated for? Is it very loud? As far as I can tell it's only missing 2 pieces, the intake screen thing, and the exhaust lid (or something like that, it says it in the manual).

Second, does anyone know anything about the tetra second nature whisper power filter 2? What it's rated for? I believe all the pieces are there for that.

Third, if anyone can identify the random pieces. I know there's 2 intake screen things but the rest I'm clueless.

The first looks like a rebadged Marineland HOT Magnum... seems like people either love it or hate it, and mostly use it as a secondary filter for polishing/mechanical filtering. Don't know if it's loud, but might be good for tanks up to 55g. The second one, I dont know, and it's probably pretty old, but an AC 70 would be a decent cheap upgrade for it.
