Filter Wool

I bought some filter wool for my canister filter, how many layers of the wool do I put in a basket? Do I fill it full, my other baskets are filled with balls, ceramic rings, polishing pads and filter pads. I have 4 baskets in my canister filter.

It's really up to you as to how much you'd like to stuff in it. When I use it, I've placed it closest to the discharge side going back into the aquarium to catch any fine pieces that may have gotten thru. Just be sure it is either specific for aquariums or it is NOT fire/flame retardant.

I purchased it through Drs. Foster & Smith, in their aqua section, so I assume it's fine.
