Would adding a third light be pointless on a 75 gallon planted tank?
I have Co2 on the tank and fertilizers ect.
Also would going higher on the K value do anything for the growth of the plants?

What lights are already on the tank? More light than the tank can handle can cause algae.

2 x 48" planted plus.
I did have the old 48 in t12 tube lights in conjunction with the planted plus lights but took it off yesterday as hair algae was starting to grow in the tank.

IMO I think you're good to go with lights. Are they adjustable? If so I'd keep it on a low setting and put it on if you just have on lying around.
