Finnex Ray II Sizing Help

I have a standard 30 gallon planted tank (36 inches wide). It has a wood canopy that sits on top. Because of the canopy, I cannot fit a 36" Finnex Ray II. I can only fit the 24" fixture. Any opinions on if the 24" would give sufficient coverage/spread to grow medium light plants (average of 18 inches from light to substrate)?
