First floor tank

Does anyone think that a first floor would hold a 125 gallon fish tank? That's 1400 pounds full without stand and everything inside.

Should. If it's on a slab, no doubt. If there's a crawl space or basement underneath, it should, but all depends on the construction.

1921 house floor joists run vertical to where tank will be.

Are the joists 10" or 12"? What's their spacing (16" on centre)? Is the foundation concrete or block? How close to the exterior wall is the tank? Is the tank parallel or perpendicular to joists?

12" joists, run vertical to where I'm putting it, cynderblock foundation, house was built in 1921

What do you mean vertical? Are they running the same way as the length of the tank, or opposite where multiple joists are under it?

Middle of the house and yes 16"
