How often should Filter Cartridges be changed? I usually change every week when I do a partial water change to my aquariums.

i have aqueon HOB power filter and i change once in 6-7 weeks
some people here have different kinds of filter and some never change the media...they just squeeze out the debris and such
what kind of filter do you have?

Well the only thing that needs to be changed is the carbon, the sponge filter and bio media should be rinsed every few weeks with either clean tank water or treated water to preserver the bacteria inside the media.
