Flow fan

What's up guys,
I have a 55 gallon fish only saltwater tank and the flow fan I have in there now I think is too strong, what's the proper size flow fan I need to get?..

It all depends on what you mean too it's too strong. I changed the AC fans in my systems with 24 volt DC fans and ran them at 12 volt DC transformer in my 55 canopy. This cut down on the noise and the flow. In my MH fixture noise was minimal with 12 volt fans running on 12 volts they where a lot quieter than the 110 volt AC fan. I get my fans from a electronics salvage but they are computer fans. What size fan do you want to replace?
