Good Morning, all!

I'm planning to purchase one of these. I have a planted 38g tank with tetras and platys so far. Should I get the larger filter? Also, do I need to run the new one and the old one simultaneously for good bacteria purposes? If so, for how long? Thanks everyone!

go for the bigger one if you can afford it. also with your old filter just put its media in the top of you new one for a week or so
