Fluval 407 canister

I have a Fluval 407 canister filter and after adding the O ring, and reattaching the top of the filter I noticed the the left side has more of a space near the seal compared to the other side with it has the logo . Is this normal ?

Ive got a 406, so not the exact same filter, but that looks fine to me.
