Fluval Eco Bright LED Light, Question

I am thinking about purchasing this lighting system for my 55G aquarium and currently have the black hoods (2 piece) that comes with the standard aquariums at larger chains like Petco. Will the Eco-Bright light work with this type of hood? Also I have a canopy for my tank, will that canopy still fit the tank with the light attached?

The photo I attached is very similar to the current set up I have with stand and canopy.
