What has been your experience with the widely-advertised FluVal 405 filter? Any problems? What about performance? How does it compare with the Ehiem canister filter? I plan to set up a large aquarium and any info would be appreciated.

How large ? and i love my fluval I have a 305 I love the ease of maintenance. I also have a marineland magnum 350 I like the fluval better when it comes to maitenance. No experience with other canisters though

i hate them. i had problems with mine break down over and over finally i just switched to rena xp3.
its hard to compare ehiem to fluval. ehiem is better hands down but you also spend a lot more money for it. the 2 filters i would get right now are the rena xp filters or the marineland c series filters.
