Fluval FX5 micro bubbles

Did you just cut the downtube off as close to where it is intserted into the lid as you could or did you leave any sticking out? Did you use a hack-saw? Thanks -

I bought mine used but it hasn't been cut any.

What kind of reactor do you have on your Fx5?

I built a DIY CO2 reactor. If I remember it right I got the instructions from rexxgrig(something like that) site. Fort gave me the link. Hooked it up to my fx5 and no more micro bubbles.

Just contact Hagen and they will send you a new modified lid, I got mine yesterday, haven't had time to try it out yet though.
