Fluval Fx5 microbubble question

hello all,
i know this is an issue that has been discussed on various forums over the years, but unfortunately it is happening to me now.
i've gone through all the checks but am still getting the microbubbles.
just wondering if there has been any new discoveries/fixes for this problem?

I get microbubbles from mine when air from the airstone gets sucked into the intake tube. When I turn it off and back on again to allow it to do it's power-cycle, the bubbles disappear. Of course, it does it's cycle all by itself every night, but my air stone is situated so I have to play with it to get the bubbles to stay away from the intake tube.
