Quick ?. I thought I had already posted this.
When I do a PWC, I clean the sponges, and rinse the new carbon, to get the dust off. Should I also rinse the other media like the BioMax, or would that kill the beneficial bacteria? What if they have white funk on them?

You can rinse them in tank water to get any particle gunk off them.
