Freshwater Lighting for African Cichlids Advice

I am trying to update my lighting for a:

140 Gallon 60x18x30 Tru-Vu Flat back hex freshwater with two ABS hoods containing a total of 4 24" 20W bulbs.

Upon talking to a local vendor, they want to create two aluminum hoods with a total of 6 65w power compact bulbs.

Is $400 for this a bit steep, or a good deal? I am trying not to get gouged and need to know if this is worth saving up for.
