Glass Canopy

I am looking to upgrade my Acrylic Canopy, right now it is 3/8 thick, 22x16.5.

One side needs to be replaced.

Can I buy a sheet of glass, to replace it. Not sure if glass from a home improvement store is OK.

I also have old Canopy glass from old tanks, but I needs a Hinge to attach. Any suggestions of Hinges that I can but would be helpful

My show tank is a 125g long. I broke one of the 3 plastic hinged, 2 segment canopy sections. I called my friends at Fluval and was told that they didn't have replacement glass or plastic hinges. We have a local glass shop that was glad to sell me EXACTLY what I wanted.

I replaced the 2 segment with a single hardened glass section that wouldn't be nearly as easy to break as what it replaced.
