Good way to attach background?

I thought about doing that to mine before I painted mine.

I use mineral oil for mine but I have a bunch for my old paintball gun(stupid thing). Vegetable or any other oil should work fine. Use a credit card or thick cardboard to smooth it. On my 35 I have it stuck on the wall behind so my tank looks deeper then it is. It gets a lot of people when they look at it. But the it doesn't seem to appear as bright
